Come one, come all- Dombeya Cellar Door now open


It has had the gestation period of an elephant, but worth waiting for. The new Dombeya Cellar door is now open- well, it is new, but the building is old, and that is part of the intrinsic charm of the place.

We have also bought a new face on board to manage things for us. Werner Els is the Dombeya cellar door manager, and comes to us after many years in the hospitality game in the Western Cape.

If you are looking to find us, drive out of Stellenbosch on the R44 towards Somerset West, take a left turn into Annandale Rd and keep going until you hit the security gates at the end- you'll see our sign with R&V and Bilton. Keep driving until you reach the R&V gates, then take a right up the hill. We'll be waiting.

We'll also be opening our restaurant, 'Long Table' in the next few days as well, which features the food of well known chef, Corli Els. Initially we'll be open for breakfast and lunch only, but stay tuned for further developments on this including weekend and wedding functions plus special events.

Breakfast


Fruit Platter- exotic fruits served with Superfood Smoothie

Oats Porridge -With stewed apples and prunes, cinnamon butter, honey

Tunisian Adja-Two eggs poached in sauce of onion, tomato, garlic,

Eggs Benedict -English muffin, Black Forest Ham, 2 Poached eggs,
Hollandaise sauce and roma tomato confit

Eggs Long Table- Roasted Field Mushroom, wilted spinach, 1 poached egg,
Hollandaise, roma tomato confit

Mini Farmhouse- Fried egg, biltong polenta, grilled tomato and choice
of sausage or bacon


French Toast Pockets- Stuffed with black forest ham, Dijon mustard,
Mature Gruyere Cheese, with Canadian Maple Syrup and rocket

Chefs Breakfast Surprise- Just in case we feel like something different!

Muffin / Scone- Served with cheddar cheese and preserves

Crunchy Caprese Parcel- with marinated olives, basil seed gelėe, balsamic drizzle and tomato oil.

Moroccan Shaved Beef- rocket, quinoa salad and spiced oil

Fresh Corn Soup- topped with roasted corn and avocado salsa

Duck, Ginger and Peanut Spring Rolls- with ginger, soy and honey dipping sauce

Long Table Super Foods Salad- quinoa, sprouts, mixed seeds, avo, broccoli and seasonal greens, beetroot, herbs and olive oil and lemon dressing

Light Meals & Main Courses
